Thinking about a Graduate Programme?
Think Dunns Food and Drinks...
Dunns Food and Drinks Ltd is Scotland’s leading independent delivered wholesaler of foodservice and licensed drinks products. We are one of Scotland’s most historic family businesses and remain family-owned, with a turnover of £30 million plus. We have come a long way in our history and survived several challenging periods, by future-proofing our business and continuing to invest.
You can even see our name and that of our own brand soft drinks in the shops – we’re the people behind many of Scotland’s favourite soft drinks and are the last remaining proponents of the traditional ‘glass cheque’ returnable soft drinks bottles.
Our growth strategy includes our people and we are focused on “growing our own” – as such, we are looking for the right people to join our team.
Our Graduate Programme
We launched our graduate programme in 2016 with an aspiration to match the best opportunities available and allow talent to thrive.
We believe that the best learning and best training can only be achieved through the participation of the graduates themselves. Our scheme therefore is designed to suit your career desires - allowing you to share your experiences and benefit from the knowledge and experience within the Dunns team.
Details
As a Dunns graduate, you will have the opportunity to experience life in a variety of departments, both operational and administrative. However, you won’t be given everything on day one. Expect to go back to square one and be ready to learn!
You will be paired up with a Mentor who will provide a reference point for queries, thoughts, problems and decisions. The program will provide a comprehensive learning experience designed to give you the working knowledge required in the industry.
You will have the chance to learn from fellow graduates, Head of Departments and our management team. At the same time you will be in charge of projects within departments and company-wide. You will also have the opportunity to experience work in areas you many not want to work in the future, but will pull you out of your comfort zone and encourage you to seek and create your own opportunities.
Apprenticeships
Why not create your career with Dunns Food and Drinks?
We recognise that the classroom may not be your thing.
Maybe instead you fancy an apprenticeship that’s fast-paced, with hands-on experience and the theory to back it up that could lead to a permanent role?
Whatever your interests and skills, Dunns Food and Drinks has a role for you, whether it be assembling customer orders in the warehouse, delivering goods, problem solving in customer services, or number crunching in our admin team.
Choosing an apprenticeship with Dunns Food and Drinks means earning while you learn, with access to industry experts, mentored support from colleagues, and professional courses.
You will also get external support from your training assessor, who will be the go to person for your apprenticeship coursework.
On top of all this, you will have internal support from members of staff in the business that head up the apprenticeship programme, who will be on hand whenever you need them.
Requirements and how to apply:
For most roles, you must be aged 16+. Please check the specific apprenticeship for any further entry requirements.
We recruit apprentices on an ongoing basis. Keep an eye out for our latest apprenticeship opportunities on our Vacancies page.
