Allergens

Food manufacturers must now make allergen information clear. We're committed to helping you with your requirements.

The Food Information to Consumer Regulations ("FIC"), which became applicable from December 2014, require food manufacturers to make allergen information readily accessible.

For packaged foods the main change is that the 14 listed allergens are highlighted where they appear in an ingredient list. The 14 allergens are cereals containing gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, peanuts, soya, milk, nuts, celery, mustard, sesame, sulphur dioxide (above 10 ppm), lupin and molluscs.

As a wholesaler of vendor branded products, Dunns Food & Drinks are committed to supporting and assisting our customers in complying with their obligations under the FIC.

However, whilst making all reasonable efforts to ensure that the information and processes on this site and our online ordering platform are correct, we cannot be held responsible for errors and/or omissions. As we do not manufacture, we warrant only that we will transmit product data as we receive it, accurately. This information is provided in good faith by Dunns Food and Drinks but it should be noted that Dunns is reliant on their suppliers for the accuracy and completeness of the information provided.

Information can change regularly, please check for updates and refer to the packaging at all times. This is particularly important because, where recipes or formulas are changed by the suppliers, the information on our site or online ordering platform could become obsolete for a period of time, until such time as Dunns is notified by the relevant supplier, and such changes have been uploaded. The information provided by Dunns Food and Drinks will not address any potential cross-contamination issues that individual products may encounter whilst at a customer unit.
