Brew City, the sub-brand of McCain Foods, has been put on ‘Pause’ until Spring 2021, it has been announced.
Launched in September 2019, Brew City is a range of hot bites made to pair perfectly with beer, enhancing the drinks occasion and unlocking incremental profit on a pint.
McCain Foods Commercial Director said:
“Whilst we are proud of the strong momentum that we have built in Year One, we are also very aware of the implications of Covid-19 to the Food Service market. At this challenging time we are cognisant of the need for outlets to operate in a lean manner, to focus on core menus, to reduce their capacity and potentially even the need to restrict group sizes and food sharing.
We have therefore made the decision to put Brew City on ‘Pause’ until Spring 2021, to allow the market time to recover post Covid-19. Please rest assured that, as a business we are absolutely committed to Brew City and will be taking the time to optimise, to plan for the future and to come back bigger and better than ever.”
